Self Assesment

I'm not quite sure what my primary medium would be, because I enjoy so many different mediums and I don't want to give any of them up. I primarily enjoy ink drawing and 3D. I'm not sure that I have a style, I'm still developing on that. I avoid anything that looks too commercial because I want to try to be more original and abstract. I think every since I started creating art I have found a fascination in portraying personalities through art. The idea that you can understand someones life on a more human level without them being human is very interesting to me. I have also found myself in learning how to portray personalities an obsession with your identity and self portrayal. I believe all of my work now has something to do with identity and what you choose to show or not to show to the world.

This artist named Leland Bobbe does photography based out of new york and I have always found his work interesting. (http://hyperallergic.com/55539/arts-a-drag-leland-bobbes-split-personality-portraits/) He photographs drag queens and burlesque dancers before and after. It's an interesting take on that persons identity and what they chose to show the world.
